The South Route by Sailboat

Our south route departs from Port de Sóller heading southwest, following the coastline of the Serra de Tramuntana. The journey takes you past a succession of cliffs, hidden coves and picture-postcard coastal villages: Llucalcari, Cala Deya and finally the spectacular Sa Foradada. It’s the perfect route for those who want to combine sailing, snorkelling and the most breathtaking sunset in Mallorca.

Stops Along the Route

🏘 Llucalcari & Es Canyaret

The first stop after setting sail is the coast of Llucalcari, a tiny coastal hamlet with a pebble cove and transparent waters. We continue to Es Canyaret, a secluded miniature beach accessible only by sea or a mountain trail. The ideal spot for your first swim in calm waters.

🏝 Cala Deya

About 20 minutes’ sailing from Sóller, Cala Deya is a rocky cove framed by pine-covered cliffs. A stream flows into the bay forming a crescent of crystal-clear water, perfect for snorkelling. The cove captures the charm of the village of Deya, one of Mallorca’s most beautiful villages where artists and writers from around the world have made their home.

⛰ Sa Foradada

The most iconic stop on the route: Sa Foradada, meaning «the pierced one». A rocky peninsula extends some 400 metres into the sea with a natural hole right through it. This magical spot, situated beneath the estate of Son Marroig belonging to Archduke Ludwig Salvator of Austria, offers spectacular crystal-clear waters for anchoring and swimming.

🌅 Sunset Sailing at Sa Foradada

The afternoon excursion towards Sa Foradada culminates with one of the most spectacular sunsets in the Mediterranean. Watching the sun dip below the horizon from the deck of a sailboat, with Sa Foradada silhouetted against the sky and the colours of dusk reflected on the water, is an experience our guests describe as unforgettable.

Why Choose a Private Sailboat?

While group excursion boats carry large numbers of passengers on timed schedules, with Let’s Sail you have your own private sailing yacht. You decide how long to spend at each cove, where to anchor and what pace to enjoy the coast. The Kalori, our 10.5-metre Beneteau First 345, features a sun awning, outdoor dining area and bathing platform.

Schedule & Duration

The Cala Deya and Sa Foradada route is available as a half-day trip or sunset cruise. We sail from April to October from the marina at Port de Sóller.
